Item 16: Amendment of Existing Contract with The Salvation Army for Expanded Shelter Operation at the National Guard Armory Site.

 

Motion to authorize and direct the City Manager to execute the amended contract, in a form approved by the City Attorney, with The Salvation Army for expanded shelter operations including 60 additional shelter beds at the Armory with existing homelessness response funds from the American Rescue Plan Act and State-provided $14 million for homelessness response in an amount not to exceed $3,870,273.39, which represents an increase of $1,727,345.39 from the previously approved $2,142,928 contract for The Salvation Army to operate at the Armory.
