Harvey West Safety Team
"In February (2013), eight Santa Cruz residents formed a team called City Solutions under the aegis the non-profit called Take Back Santa Cruz. The team’s objective was to research if the Harvey West Community was safe and, if it wasn’t safe, to determine if precautions could be put in place to improve the neighborhood safety."
(from the report: "City Solutions Team- Harvey West Community Safety" 06.30.2013)
Although the Homeless Services Center no longer provides "day services," it remains the epicenter of criminal activity for the Upper West Side of Santa Cruz and therefore this team's work remains completely relevant today.
