"We are Facing a Problem that can not be Ignored"

 

Following up on the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office statement: “Methamphetamine and heroin are wreaking havoc on our community. These drugs are tearing families apart and contributing to the escalating mental health crisis.”

 

I chose at random 6 individuals who had arrests for trafficking meth either shortly before or after the statement from the Sheriff's Office. It is my plan to follow these cases as they travel through the courts to ascertain the seriousness of the county’s “crackdown” on meth.
